Stick to one communication channel if you're continuing a conversation and trying to build a relationship with a recruiter.
These days we have multiple options for messaging people - email, LinkedIn, texting, Twitter, and perhaps even Facebook messenger or other channels. The problem becomes trying to piece the pieces together.
Recruiters typically have thousands of contacts and hundreds of "conversations" going on at any given time, so to message someone on LinkedIn one day and then email them another day and then tweet something to them the following day can get very confusing. (This happens to me fairly often.)
It's very challenging to remember who is who and what you talked about last.
I suggest finding out what works best for the other person and making it as streamlined and convenient as possible.
(Note: I'm not suggesting you shouldn't follow or connect with them on multiple platforms - just don't carry on a conversation across multiple channels.)
Best of luck!
