Do you write resumes for all types of clients?

​I primarily work with clients who have a background in retail leadership, including assistant store managers, store managers, area managers, district managers, and regional managers/directors/VPs.

Do you write resumes for people in all types of retail?​

Definitely. Since 2005 I have worked with thousands of leaders from every major retailer in the United States and Canada, including specialty stores, big-box stores, small-box stores, department stores, factory outlets, off-price stores, grocery stores, ​​convenience stores, fast food restaurants, coffee chains, warehouse clubs, and more.

Do you write resumes for people who want to leave retail?

It depends on what you're looking for and whether I believe I can help.  Email me to chat further.

Do you write resumes for people all over the world?

No, I only take on clients from the United States and Canada because other countries have different resume customs and expectations that I'm not completely familiar with. I don't take on clients if I'm not 100% confident that I'm their best option. Their job search success is more important than me gaining an additional client.

Do you offer free resume assessments?

Yes, as long as your past experience is within my area of expertise and the scope of my service. If you're unsure, email your resume and ask for a free assessment. I'll see if I can help.

What is your resume writing process?

All my clients fill out a very thorough and detailed questionnaire about their work history. Once it is returned, I create the resume and send it in Microsoft Word and PDF. I also give my clients a comprehensive job search manual in PDF format (65 pages) that includes information on LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, job search strategies, thank you letters, networking, and much more.

What are your qualifications?

I've worked as a professional resume writer since 2005 and my background includes 30+ years' experience on all sides of the employment fence.  I worked in retail for many years, where I interviewed and hired hundreds of people.  I was also a resume analyst for a national retail recruiter and employment counselor in a government services office.  I have networked with recruiters and hiring managers on LinkedIn since 2008, and have built a network of 30,000 first-degree connections and 75,000+ followers.

How much does it cost?
